Sorry for taking so long to post back on here. I appreciate everyones input and responses. I ended up selling the Glock 19 and getting a Glock 26. It fits me better and I can carry at 3:30 iwb no problem, even when I'm driving.

ah man, I love carrying my G19 about 3:15 canted all the way forward with my Old Faithful IWB holster.  I had the same issue with the handle hitting the seat or my back before I canted it forward.  After canting it, it tuck right in the small of my back when sitting in my car.  You have to find that sweet spot and takes some time to work it out.  G26 is a good choice and much easier to adjust for comfort.  Try canting your holster forward to see if that helps though.

^  Agreed.  Hard to beat a Vanguard 2 for concealed carry.  I have no trouble carrying my G19 (or my full-size G17) AIWB with this holster.

I had almost tried using a canted holster, but found a good deal on the 26 and just went with it. I think in the end I made the right decision, but I did love the 19 though. Who knows I might end up with another one later on.

Honestly if I were you I would consider a pancake holster that rides high or higher.  The reason I say that is because I recently made several holsters that rode a little higher and they feel much better when sitting down versus iwb.

The most comfortable holsters to me are those that ride high and tight to the body. I always praise the Glock Sport Combat holster, it rides high, tight against the body, and has a slight cant.

Wilderness belts trump leather all day in my book. I had a Beltman and it was nice but the Wilderness instructor belt is more adjustable and it doubles as a piece of survival gear. Coupled with a Comptac MTAC for IWB or a Blackhawk Serpa CQB for OWB I'm very satisfied.

For comparison, I'm 5'9", 160 pounds. 31" waist.

Agreed.
