the boxes of old have the range of 1 to 1 1/2 miles.  don't know what the new boxes have printed on them.  but i would like to find some 22lr ammo at a normal price for sale.

I just looked a box of Remington 40gr golden bullets and it has printed that "Range - 1 1/2 miles".  I take that to mean that under ideal conditions the bullet can travel that far.  But, I also will assume that the bullet can cause some degree of damage as long as it's still traveling.

Mile and a half according to the old boxes.

I thought it was 1 mile. I believe you're right though. It's been awhile since I've seen it on a box.

I remember as a kid, I always wanted the CCI mini mag ammo because
it said 1 1/4 miles. Sounded hotter when I shot it, too. Had a rough
time getting it back then. Some things never change.

My .22 will shoot 2 1/2 miles because I bought my rounds at double the price on Gun Broker and Armslist...

Neat video

The Federal rounds go back to the '60s....but maybe Remington just likes to brag.

The (not "new improved") Golden Bullet box in my hand says "range"1 1/2 miles". To be factual it should say "every third round might go that far, but probably won't".
