That almost sounds promising of a near future where ammo is in stock. I havent even seen 50 round boxes in Collierville or Memphis for months now. Plenty of 7mm, 30-30 and 30-06 if youre in to that sort of thing.

Well 40 and 45 really hasn't been too hard to get around here. I have given up on 9mm, I found some a couple of weeks ago and that was the first since December.

I hear so many people saying this even on national gun forums. I cant find .40 anywhere. Well, I take that back because I have no trouble getting reloads from the Tennessee Cartridge Company but it would be nice to have some more JHP's even if it is Wichester White Box.

they had bricks of .22 also 3 left but i have so much 22 i figured i would leave it for the next guy.....

the guy that works there told me a lot of the suspected buyers and resellers were pissed when they wouldnt sell them more than one box per caliber, said one of them even raised hell called the manager back and said he wouldnt buy ammo there anymore--- LOL

That hurts. I guess .40 is just really popular in the Memphis area. I know Memphis PD and Germantown PD carry Sig 226 and HK USP .40s respectivley but I dont know if they are required to buy their own ammo. That could be part of the issue.

I did find some home defense 9mm. I didn't want to spend the 1.25 per round but wife talked me into it " just in case." I opened the box when I got to my car, missing a round! Somebody had stolen 1 round out of the box of 20! I guess somebody wanted to take the easy way out but couldn't afford ammo either.....
