Ar rear sight

Fixed or folding?  You can find the folding Magpul MBUS rears for right at $50. Troy makes a fixed rear that DVOR.com just ran a $50 special on, but they are usually $65 on amazon.

Probably looking at a fixed sight, but either one would be fine.

Good carry handle sights are generally more than $50.

The Magpul is just fine in your price range, I run it on 3 of mine, make sure is a "Gen 2".  If you opt for it, probably won't do better than The Zon, 'bout $45 w/ free slowish shipping:

Actually, here's black one on De Bay for same price, might get it a bit quicker, or not. I've used the seller before, just fine:

Watch the equipment exchange on ar15.com. There's. Lots of good stuff. PersonAlly, I like the LMT rear sight. It works well as BUIS for an Eotech.

well ive tried the magpul and realy didnt like it. the aperture was realy loose and would move when the rifle cycled. I personaly use yhm on my flat top uppers but they are over fifty bucks. Actualy the fixed sights from utg seemed decent for the price. i realy liked them but they felt bulky.

Then you got a PTS airsoft version, and possibly a knockoff of even that.

Was the screw allen or simple slotted screwdriver?

not sure. i got them from a co worker. a set front and rear. worst sights ive ever tried. I had to turn the front post so far up it almost came out of the plastic. Ive wondered why so many people seem to like them but just as many seem to hate them. The set i had came with the original package. When i say the aperture moved i mean it would rotate from the large to the small or vice versa. I cant remember what kind of screw but it wouldnt get any tighter. They felt realy cheesy, like if i banged them on something they would just break right off.

Definitely PTS or knockoffs. Real Magpul firearm series sights simply don't do that.

If both sights came in one box, that's another sure sign that aren't the mainstream product.

Yeah , i just looked up those PTS sights that was them. I had no idea there were knock offs out there. Ive been wondering why magpul would put out such a crappy product.

I traded a hogue AK grip for the set. They actualy came in seperate ziplock bags with a piece of cardboard. looked legit but it makes sense.

P.S.  Sorry for taking post off subject

Many, if not most,  normal Magpul products, those on http://Magpul.com,  can only be sold in US due to arms export restrictions.

However, they license use of the name to be used with their PTS (Professional Training and Simulation) division products, seen at http://www.magpul-pts.com,  (mostly used for paintball Airsoft), which may be sold worldwide. These are already lesser quality. Then add the fact that like for many popular products, there are pirate ripoff manufacturers whose products are neither of the above.

You particularly have to careful on eBay.

I think you meant Airsoft, not paintball.
