An update from Don's wife:

The latest on Don: He was able to get into a wheelchair and go outside on Wed., much to his excitement! Then surgery yesterday to affix the external support went well, although pain was made worse and was back at the level it had been the first day. Docs are quite pleased with the progress he has made and are talking about letting him come home before long.

Again, much appreciation for all the love and support we have received from everyone! Haven't been online much but have seen that others are struggling with difficult situations in their own lives. Want each of you who read this to know that every one of you are in my thoughts and prayers each and every day, regardless of whether you are experiencing difficulties!

Love and hugs to all! ♥

It is for now, but "Timestepper" is going to be layed up for a good while. It seems every day he is improving. One more surgery to go, and we'll see!

God Bless Don in his recovery and God Bless anyone who ever prayed for a Wounded Warrior. Over time, the doctors that you all have paid for have gotten so much experience treating Wounded Warriors that they develop new techniques that benefit Don and others. So, God Bless You All, and Will The Circle Be Unbroken.

No I have all the money with drawn from my paypal and in a card aling with my donation but I've been working overtime trying to get my wifes car back together. She ran it low on oil and locked the motor down, so Ive been working getting it out and then had to wait on the crate motor to come in through advance to replace it.

He said he is glad to be home but in a great deal of pain pretty much all the time right now. He also asked to pray for his wife as she is with him 24/7

Hey Spots, will you be making another visit to the bank on Monday? I can't make a contribution until the first of the month but I'd really like to help him out.

I can pull from any ATM and if you just want to send me a message on how much you want to give I can go ahead and throw it in the card

This from Don:

Just read through all 15 pages and I am deeply humbled by the outpouring of support, prayers and well wishes. And I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the wonderful folks here for their words of encouragement during what has turned out to be one of the most trying times of my life to this point.

After 5 surgeries to this point and with at least one more to go , it's been rougher than I'd really like to admit. But learning to take it one day (or sometimes even one hour or one minute) at a time has made it easier and all the kind words and deeds here have made it worth it. And again, left me deeply humbled. Thank you.

As Dave and Spots have mentioned, I get to keep my foot - despite the best efforts of 158gr .357mag hollowpoint to remove a goodly portion of the bones from my ankle, down - but never be able to bend my ankle again, although I hope to be walking again within the next 6 to 8 months.

Thanks for everything.

Don
