Saving seizures in Cypress

Recommended Posts

guys, Cyprus is broke. heck, half the EU is broke. about the only countries with any money in the EU are a few Norse countries and France and Germany. France and Germany are carrying the rest of em and they want their money back.

This is what happens when socialism is adopted in a free market economy.

Can it happen here? Yes. Will it happen here? probably.   If you have a retirement account, I suggest you find some way to buy it out and then offshore it. I myself don't have one.
What I DO have is a lot of silver now.

After all, we will have Social Security, nevermind that those that don't earn it will get it too, if we live long enough to collect it.  Then of course we are so "dumb" according to this professor they were talking about, that we need the government to take it over.  They are never gonna get it,  "IT IS NOT THEIR F---ING MONEY!"

I think this will happen with retirement accounts before bank deposits. Billions if not Trillions of $$$ just setting there.

It will be a very dangerous time to be an IRS employee if they pull that.

Obummer could do a lot with 9 to 10 trillion in retirement accounts. Commies want everything you own, and will sooner than later get all your private properties, even your guns and ammo. Not enough people with big balls to stand up against these corrupt commie politicians anymore. Social unrest is not too far from us in our country.

Not far at all.  Obummer will take and take until there is nothing left.  RINOs in congress just kiss his butt.

Yep, John Boehner just recently said that he trusts Obummer.

Boehner needs to go home!  Permanently! He is the RINO and chief bottle washer for Obummer!

It will happen when chasing the dollar by other currencies and printing becomes less fashionable. It's what you

get when you allow Keynesians and Communists to steal you blind for decades. We won't be the last ones to fall,

either.

TMF, I wonder if that ever crossed those fools minds, or are they still living in Utopia? It takes a little time for some

to figure it out. I want to see how many of the badge carrying, gun toting federales really realize who they are working

for, or if they are the problem. I assure you, I won't be watching very closely because there will be too many other

distractions just to stay alive, at that point. But it would be interesting to know there are good people, just still naive.

I think the big government politicians are painting themselves slowly into a corner and don't take seriously the chunk of society that still clings to the remaining shreds of freedom we have left. Once you start doing what they're doing in Cyprus I don't think people will continue to have a non-violent disagreement over tax policies. I think that is about the time that folks won't care how American the tax man is; it'll be an us/them relationship at that point.

Guess it is a good thing I am poor and do not have any savings...

Although I guess I would rather have that problem to worry about.

Man this is a rediculous thing to do - and yes it can happen here. Look at all the other things that we said would not happen here that have.

I consider the money I have in my savings and retirement account to be sacred. It was taxed before I put it in there and is not going to be taxed again simply because the gov spends money like a drunken sailor in a whore house. Them coming after that money negates any efforts on my part to save and get ahead by my own doing. It completely removes my control over my destiny and would set a precedent that can't be undone. If they ever do what is about to be done in Cyprus I will absolutely cease to be a law abiding citizen; no doubt in my mind about that.

Obummer and the people that re-elected him has made it so much faster to happen here in our country. It's not a matter of if it's gonna happen here but when is it gonna happen. Prosperity days for this country are long gone by.

They just hired or are trying to hire 16,000 new IRS agents to police O'bumber care. They have gold badges and gun. They have what it takes, to take what you have.

Amen to that!

It was the EU central bank that if forcing Cyprus to rob their citizens. That being the case citizens in that country ran on the banks. I would think none of them would ever trust their banks again and would hold their money out in order to have some control over their destiny. But I have been thinking if the central bank made  the call then this fear could possibly spread over Europe and start a financial crisis again. I am sure our commie in chief is watching the whole Cyprus thing with keen attention.
