South Carolina added a gun sales tax holiday. Someone call Naifeh and see if he will sponsor it in Tennessee. :x:

If that came to happen I would have a TGO member sale worth the time and trouble of driving down here.

for the most part, retailers take too much advantage of these tax holidays. People think it's such a good deal, but most stores that have lots of product that qualifies for the tax exemption either mark up the prices or just don't run sales. Most places have sales larger than 9.25 (or 9.5) % off, but people go crazy to save the tax.

I remember the first one after I moved to TN and walmart marked up diapers (which are considered clothing) 15% and then the price went back down the following monday......should be illegal.
