Rounds in the cylinder and maybe pointing at himself

Yep of course.

I guess after looking again it isn't *quite as bad as I originally thought, at least he is holding it being aimed beside him and must be taking his right hand to the left side of his body to take the photo....it just caught me as an "Oh I see" moment.

Safe direction anyone?!  Why would it need to be tightened up after so few rounds?

I was considering the gun but "tightened up" reminds me that it as a Taurus.

Methinks the forum doth protest too much.

1. I'd stand in front of a loaded revolver if I wanted an exact head-on pic showing loaded chamber.

2. Gun is question is angled to one side, so looks like a kidney shot at worst. :)

Remember, guns don't suddenly "go off" on their own accord. It's not what I would consider the smartest thing to do but still IMO safe enough.

Having said that, the model does in fact have a dual purpose safety. Primary function is keeping the instances of unplanned discharge to a negligible level. Secondary function is to keep the wind from whistling between the owners ears.

meh, I am not so sure how unsafe it is.   His hand is nowhere near the trigger

Last I heard they just don't go bang all by themselves.

Well if you have a carry permit, I bet you walk around with a loaded gun pointed a some part of your anatomy. With a shoulder rig I guess you just point it at every one else.

Vertical shoulder holster has a chance  to get outside of buttock or foot, or both. A more creative way to accomplish Glock Butt.
