Just got these in a trade and wanting to get them not looking so rough. Would the automotive back to black stuff work? py5eby9y.jpg

WD 40 is what we used on plastic car trim when I worked at a car dealer.  just spray and wipe with a rag.  This may or may not work.  It does fade again over time but its cheap

These things actually accept dye pretty well...
The stuff you dye clothes with you get at any grocery or Walmart
Need your mix very hot and leave it in there a while
The dye will actually enter the plastic.

Krylon spray paint for plastics looks great and is fairly durable

Hadn't ever tried the back to black, but its a good idea.

Let us know how it works out

Glad it worked. I used some Back to Black for automotive trim on a Ruger synthetic stock and it helped it a bunch.

My Pmags look like they'd been dragged by a jeep through a rocky desert.... I call those "character" marks.

Havnt tried a magazine but:

Old plastics on motorcycles that have oxidized, ive used a heat gun to melt them back to color with great results. Dont get crazy with the heat.

Rit dye works wonders on Magpul stuff too.

I will verify this also, worked like a charm on a set of the sand colored MBUS.Came out black as could get with the Rit liquid black dye.

As long as they work, I don't care what they look like.

I sure as Hell had no idea Rit Dye would work on plastic.

Now that's cool.
