Looks like Magpul will be moving

Magazine manufacturers around the country should print backdated mags, just to screw with Colorado.

Magazines manufactured in Colorado? I guess the Demwit legislators didn't read Magpul's press releases.

Based on their experience as politicians they don't think Magpul will do it.

It's a crying shame, no doubt.

But at least there are a few folks left in Colorado with some integrity.

Seriously though, my wife is adamant about keeping the awesomeness of this state a secret from CA. I agree that keeping most Californians out of TN is a great idea.

Keeping the Kalifornians out of all other states is a great idea, not just Tennessee!

I pray that the Magpul leaders have the sense and wherewithal to coordinate a press conference where they immediately sign those contracts in full public view right after the governor signs that bill.

They seem to be playing the press pretty well. Definately have the right attitude.

Just posted on Magpul's Facebook page.

Apparently Gov Hickenlooper has announced that he will sign HB 1224 on Wednesday. We were asked for our reaction, and here is what we said:

We have said all along that based on the legal problems and uncertainties in the bill, as well as general principle, we will have no choice but to leave if the Governor signs this into law. We will start our transition out of the state almost immediately, and we will prioritize moving magazine manufacturing operations first. We expect the first PMAGs to be made outside CO within 30 days of the signing, with the rest to follow in phases. We will likely become a multi-state operation as a result of this move, and not all locations have been selected. We have made some initial contacts and evaluated a list of new potential locations for additional manufacturing and the new company headquarters, and we will begin talks with various state representatives in earnest if the Governor indeed signs this legislation. Although we are agile for a company of our size, it is still a significant footprint, and we will perform this move in a manner that is best for the company and our employees.

It is disappointing to us that money and a social agenda from outside the state have apparently penetrated the American West to control our legislature and Governor, but we feel confident that Colorado residents can still take the state back through recalls, ballot initiatives, and the 2014 election to undo these wrongs against responsible Citizens.

Ever wish these liberals would just come out in the middle of the street and fight?

That's not how the liberals roll. ;)

I'm buying a Magpul PRS...as soon as it is stamped "Made in Texas" or anywhere else but CO.

Magpul should probably look more forward ahead than Texas. Probably be blue in a decade.

I normally respect your opinion on things, but this time I think you err.

A few years ago my foil receiver told me that they were building a huge underground facility under the new Denver Airport to be the new Govt HQ to replace DC and eventually the HQ for the NWO, who would be taking over our country. :tinfoil: :tinfoil: :tinfoil:

Now, just a few years later, it seems that a once great state has been over-run by the loonies all the way up to the Governor. :yuck:

And now the state houses are passing loony type laws. :puke:

Could it be that the foil receiver was correct way back then and that all of this ties in together? :tinfoil: :tinfoil: :tinfoil:

As a native Coloradan, I can only say how disappointed I am in the folks there and the officials they've elected. I hope they recall every single official that voted for this bill... EVERY LAST ONE OF THEM.
I considered moving back there a few years ago, and boy I'm glad I didn't.
This will be a turning point in American history, a great state with strong western history has fallen by the way side. Small groups of PATRIOTS are going to have to stand up to this socialist government and push back.
Stock up on your essentials, folks! Edited by Tedro2022

Just predicting presidential so far. Watch the Mexican population % grow and the inevitable big city liberalization. Colorado was always red until 2008, too, blue the last two elections, and of course the reason for this thread. Their neighbor New Mexico seems blue to stay, and they don't even have the urban % Texas does.

Sad to say, but the main reason the GOP has the showing it does in the House is due to the extent of gerrymandering it has been able to tweak in the districts nationwide. The Dems were master of this for decades also in the past.

Florida and North Carolina went blue in 2008 and Florida again last year. Does anyone know if they were ever blue in the past?

Quick glance shows FL went with Carter and with Slick Willie second time. Didn't check out NC, but seems it may have been before my time if they did.

Here's a great resource to look back on elections, all the way back to 1789 actually:

Here's the Presidental part only:

Note that he uses red for Dem and blue for GOP though, must have started that back before they came to be known by their current colors or something, so that can be confusing at first take.

Magpul's Latest...

With the signing of the HB 1224, we want to reassure Colorado residents, now officially in occupied territory, that the "Boulder Airlift" will continue until we can no longer legally ship to CO residents at the approach of the July 1 deadline, so long as demand continues.

We are looking at additional ways to give Coloradans the opportunity to buy the magazines they need prior to the enactment date, as although we've been swamped with tens of thousands of orders, our shipping department limitations have only allowed us to get a few hundred thousand magazines out to CO residents...a small portion of our monthly production. We'll continue to support the Airlift as long as demand exists, and up to the active date of the legislation, and we've allocated a little over a million magazines for the effort up to that point, give or take.

Customers in the rest of the country should rest assured that the airlift only takes a small portion of our production, and magazines and other products are continuing to ship to the rest of the nation. Our transition to a new home will occur in a phased and orderly a manner to allow us to continue to serve our customers during the move, as well as to allow an orderly transition for affected employees. We are actively working on those plans.

I thought the change in colors for the political parties was a more recent development. I seem to remember Reagan's victory in 1980 was a country of blue.

As far as Magpul goes, there are thousands of empty factories all across the nation. They could move and set up shop in any of them and have minimal downtime. Given today's employment, they would not have any problem finding people wanting to work for them.
