If this is built with the same quality as the RAT 1, then this one will be another great knife to have!!!  I really like my RAT 1!!!

It's a good knife, but I can't talk myself into buying another Ontario RAT since Jeff and Mike parted ways with them over quality/sourcing concerns.

I just got my RAT 2 in the mail on Thursday. I can't begin to tell you how nice it is. It's a smaller version of the RAT 1, same high quality build & toughness. These RATs are quickly becoming my go to EDC knives

I bought the Rat1 and it was the best bang for the buck I have ever had! I love it and it has become my EDC. I also edc a bk14 or an Esee Izula but if the shtf I bet instinct would have me reaching for my Rat1.
I plan to get several more rat1's and store them in the safe. BTW they really do a fine job on the edge, mine would shave easily right out of the box.

And the aus-8 takes a good edge off a diamond stone & an Arkansas stone to polish it up. I've impressed a few of my buddies with the quality of the RATs

AUS-8/8a done well is a very good knife blade. Cold Steel does a fine job with it, too, like on their current Voyager models, whichever manufacturer actually makes it for them.

Who knows, they might even use the same contractor since both the Voyager and the RAT 1 come from Taiwan (I guess the model 2 does also?)
