Budget Control Act of 2011 Anyone know what this is?

I'm too lazy to type the entire letter sent to me by the Railroad Retirement Board,

but I got a kick out of it, anyway.

In a nutshell, it said:

                                               Notice of benefit reduction

Benefits payable under the Railroad Unemployment Insurance Act(which I had no idea

of it's existence) for days beginning March 3, 2013 must be reduced by 9.2 percent. The

reduction is required by a sequestration order issued by the President(Fuhrer) in accordance

with the Budget Control Act of 2011. The initial reduction will continue through September30,

2013. Blah, blah and went on to say in broken english that it will be reduced further as needed.

Congress will determine.

Now for all the Railroad Retirement and Social Security experts around here, let me first warn

you. I posted this because I think it is hilarious to expect anything of value to come from the

federales, and since I paid for it out of my income, not unlike all those who paid all that SSI

tax, and that is what it is, nothing else, we're in the same boat. I'm just laughing because I

expected this thug in the White House to do this so he and Beyonce, or whichever musician or

starlet could put on a fun bash at the White House while Moo chelle is somewhere else

playing with her commie friends.

Primarily I posted this for anyone, you know who :D , who thinks railroad employees are all

fat cat union thugs and get so much of everything that the rest of society must be starving.

If Obama is going to play with such a high falooting guy like me in this sequestration crap,

get in line for yours. It has to come soon.

If that bunch in DC thinks this will make me change my views, they, including Obama, are

complete pineapples. I'm glad to have contributed to that $85 billion foodstamp sequestration

to continue to fun Obamaphones for illegals and disenfranchised minorities across the

fruited plains.

I'm waiting for raw sewage to flow down the streets of Clarksville any minute. You can't make

this crap up! But I'm still laughing.

This is the act that Congress passed and the President signed which basically said "If you don't cut spending by x by date y, automatic budget cuts go into effect."  What's being called Sequestration.  And here's the catch - it's a multi-year thing.  If they don't do anything, it happens again.

By the way, if you want to know who voted which way on it:

The Senate:

The House:

I guess I should have said it was a rhetorical question, but I'm glad you know, also :D

BTW, specific cuts were mandated in that act.
