Need help identifying unknown object

I found this piece of plastic in a Glock box that was for a G27 .40 S&W.  I haven't a clue what it is and was hoping someone recognizes this and can enlighten me on what it is and what it's for.  I'm assuming this may be a stray piece of plastic that fell into the box during packing.  The object measures 1-1/4" x 1-1/16" and is approx. 5/16" thick.  The letters "SIG" is molded into the middle of the piece.  Sorry for the poor quality picture. Thanks for any help with this issue.

It's an empty chamber indicator.  You clip it on using the tab then gently let the slide forward so everyone knows the gun is unloaded.

"SIG" stands for "Stick In Gun".

It's a combination empty chamber indicator/liberal camoflage device for Glocks.  If placed in the chamber it will ingeniously shapeshift the Glock to a Sig, giving liberals the false sense of security that it can actually be picked up on a metal detector, and that it isn't in reality an evil ceramic gun that shoots invisiboolits.

Heck, I'm still laughing at all the responses I got for this post!  Anyways, I didn't want to toss the "whatchamacallit" in the trash until I confirmed it had nothing to do with my Glock.  I appreciate everyone taking the time to check out my "UPP" (Unknown Plastic Piece).

"SIG" stands for Stick In Gun....That's hilarious!  What's reallly funny is the fact that I thought the same thing, but it didn't fit like I thought it should...LOL!!!!

Not trying to hi jack your thread but wanted to let everyone know that I am a ASE Certified Master Technician and if you find your muffler bearing is out of specs I can rebuild it. I will perform this service and trade for one AR-15 or 1500 rounds of .223.

You're as antique as the old guns you cling to.

DADBURNIT MAN, you owe me a keyboard, coffee dont wash out.

Looks like one of those spacers that comes in Blackhawk CQC holsters to keep the holster from being smashed in shipping.

I am going with this one.

I think that is a spacer that comes in some kydex/polymer/plastic holsters to keep the holster from getting distorted/crushed during shipping.

If I am right, what do I win?

You are correct. I'm looking at the exact same piece of plastic right now which came with the serpa holster I'm wearing.

Why rebuild when you can buy new?

But if you must rebuild it you probably need a tub of this:

Or if you just want to do away with that problematic muffler bearing you need this:

You folks have it all wrong and I am surprised robbieg19 missed it being a certified mechanic and all. Its part of this,

Its used to clean the wiper blade sharpener. :)

I didn't know they made cleaners for these. Mine is self cleaning. (little more expensive but it was worth it)

Please keep these things a secret. I make more if I rebuild them. :shhh:

Instead of the elbow grease I use imperial sizing wax.
