To bring this thread to a close, he was put to rest today.  A *huge* amount of thanks and credit to both the local Masonic Lodge and the Campbell County Honor Guard. The Lodge conducted the Masonic last-rites for him last night and the Campbell County Honor Guard saw to full military honors at his burial this morning.

You are a man of character, convictions, and class - I know this personally.  Now I know who taught you these timeless traits - your Grandfather.  Forgive me for not having offered my prayers during his, your, and the whole family's suffering, but you (inclusive) have them tenfold as you remember him fondly, and rejoice in his eternal recovery.

 

I'm SO sorry for your loss.  Black and white text looks so hollow as compared to the sentiment behind them..... I know he's proud of you.

So sorry for your loss, but as others have said, take peace in knowing where he is and who he is with. Remember to look to him for strengh in these times and you will receive it.
