I just got the phone call this evening that I got the job blacksmithing at Falling Creek boys camp from May-Aug. It was a job I was really hoping for, pays decent and lets me teach the next generation blacksmithing on a larger scale. Just wanted to share the info.

Congrats, is your regular 9-5 cool with you taking the time off or are you going to have to resign? Either way sounds way cool and worth it.

My normal job is very odd scheduleed, I might work 40 hours one week a mix of nights and mornings, then 10 hours next week, then 70 hours with no set hours each day. They have given me permission to take a 4 month leave of absence for this so thats even better Edited by Spots

Anyone who has ever met Spots knows how awesome he is.  The impression he made on my son confirms how great he will be at this job. Congratulations!

Very cool, congrats.

Do what you enjoy for money, and you will never "work" a day.

Add my congratulations as well. It will be great having a decent role model for the kids there. Maybe you can wean them away from R. Kelly.

That's great man! you learn a lot when you're teaching others, so you'll come out of this on the top too.
