I'm trying to find out the value on a Volunteer 12 gauge single-shot shotgun. I've been doing some researching but can't find much about this brand other than the company was sold in 1978 and became "Commando Arms". I would consider the gun to be in fair condition because the previous owner, who is now deceased, engraved his SS# on the side and his initials on the bottom of the trigger guard. I don't know why  he would engrave his social on the side but maybe that's what they did back during those times. Anyway, any help on finding out what the gun is worth would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
