I have not been able to verify if this magwell from Dawson is IDPA legal to use in the ESP division. Can anyone confirm if this magwell is legal or not. Thank you.

New Glock Ice Magwell. The World's Fastest Magwell Is Finally Available for Your Race Glock. The Ice Magwell is the fastest, easiest, most consistent magwell for IPSC competition. And now it's available for Glock. If you want to add weight go with the heavy black Ice Magwell. It will help tame that recoil, but still reload slick as ice. When you beat up the insert, the magwell is untouched. Go ahead and pop in a new insert. It takes seconds and you will have it looking and functioning like a new magwell again. Black. Aluminum.

2.9 oz. Aluminum.

Fits Small Frame Glocks 17, 17L, 34, 22, 35, and 31 only .

Someone more educated than me on the subject should be along relatively soon but from what ive read it would depend on what the plug portion is made out of.  I know the magwell itself is aluminum but from my reasearch apparently the plug that secures it is brass and therefore a no go. I dont know if they are still brass or if an aluminum or steel plug is available.    It will definately fit in the box and not exceed the maximum allowable weight.  Id say unless you are a high level competitor just ask the club you shoot at and go off of there guidance.

I plan on shooting next week at Little Rock and wanted to make sure the magwell was legal for ESP.  CASA does inspect the guns during their competitions.

I used the same model on a Glock 34 for a little while, and it definitely fits in the box.  While you are ordering, you may want to consider some extended base pads.  Though not necessary, they do make seating the mags a little easier.

The Dawson +100 is IDPA legal, and works quite well.

The way it was explained to me by a guy who shoots limited USPSA and IDPA ESP is that using the one with the steel insert http://www.dawsonprecision.com/ProductDetail.jsp?LISTID=80001495-1335894461   instead of the one with the brass insert is the legal on for IDPA because of weight issues and its not brass. It is the standard on the Aluminum mag well. He doesn't have problems with it at matches.
