I am looking to get a recoil reducer to go in the stock of a rifle and I am seeing the Dead Mule Mechanical and the Mercury type . Price is about the same .

Anybody tried either before ?

Does one work better than the other ?

Going in a Handi rifle so the hole is already there .

My silver pigeon has the mercury type. I usually shoot a minimum of 100 rounds at the sporting Clays our Skeet range. It does make a difference I feel. I've never used the mechanical, but a friend with the gracoil installed. Its nice too. About $180 + Installation.

This is going to go in my H&R Handi rifle first to see how well it works and then maybe put one in a Marlin 336. I bought the cheap slip on limbsaver today for starters.
