I moved down here 8 years ago from Connecticut just outside of NYC.

I carried up there with NYC and Connecticut Permits(Not an easy feat) and have been playing with firearms since 1983.

Some of you may just be my neighbors, So, I hope to see you here and on the range sometime!

I wish, more like getting a great lawyer and having about 3 K to burn!

A good attorney gets you through the process.

It's funny how down here peeps complain about 90 days!

Up there if you make a paperwork mistake it could take you that long to FIX it if you are lucky!

This was for the NYC permit btw, it is POSSIBLE to have one, but it is BIG $$$$ and you need a high $$$$ reason to get one.

You can't just say, I do not feel safe on Park Ave, then you go ARMED in your reason and they DISQUALIFY the application.

In my case, I was a diamond courier for several brokers and cutters in the city.

On any given run, I could have half a million in Jewels on my person.

Not a good feeling being Empty handed on the street.

As for Connecticut, I did that on my own, you start by getting a TOWN only permit, that lets you move up to get a COUNTY permit.

Then you can get a STATE permit after that.

That is about a years process. And the LEOs go through the same junk for them too, no fast tracking for them!
