Its my sons B-Day 04-04 and we usually spend a week at paris landing cause its his spring break also. Does anyone know approximate water temp and crappie pattern the week of april 4th? Also interested in largemout pattern. I know the smallies are still on mid depth main lake points and might spawn around 59-61 degree waters. How are the crappie at that point? Also, Catfish? Bumping bootom deep, or are they in backwater? Thanks

I don't know about KY lake but I belong to a club here in southern middle Tn. We fish tournament's once a month and went last weekend at Normandy. Water temp was 47 and the only luck we had with Crappie was about 20' deep off of tree tops (none on flats and points). I think the Bass are keeping them off the shore line right now. Minnows didn't work so we jigged SLOW and we did pretty good. Haven't seen a cat in a little while.

Your talking over a month away. Patterns will change a lot by then. Check on crappie.com , TN. I fish Pickwick, for now we are longlining off the bottom.
