Saw a guy from Ohio in a car on I-240, I passed him, he looked at me, smiled, girl's head came up, he passed me a mile down the road, she was back down, this time I was on the high side of the interstate, and could see the the top of her head, then I couldn't, then I could, then I...well you get the picture..

:death: that seems to be a trend for travelers!Although I would never let such a thing take place while I'm driving

Not meaning to zombie-thread, I can't find a winch mounting plate for this particular Jeep. Then again, everywhere I've been to has been using the two-letter acronyms for the Jeep models. The Cherokee Sport 4x4 (in 2000) is the XJ, correct? I might have one or two, but I'm not sure until I know the actual acronym.

Yes, it will be an XJ. It sounds like you are getting the bug already.

On the subject of winch mounts, how much are you looking to spend? There are a tons of options out there with most of them being full bumpers. PM me if you want some suggestions, there are many smaller companies out there as well. A couple good forums to browse are http://www.jeepsunlimited.com/forums and http://www.naxja.org/forum/. Don't say I didn't warn you about getting the Jeep bug though...

I'm just after a mount that won't tear off the first time I use the winch, though a full bumper might be nice.....OMG you are right, I am already catching the bug!

I'm not looking ot spend a lot. While it may look like I'm getting the bug, a winch is a useful little bugger that at times could be invaluable. It looks like the standard for a channel mount would be somewhere between $60 and $90?
