Location for 500 -1500 yard range in mid tn

 As posted, a small handful of us are looking for a place to shoot rifle 500 to 1500 yards on the weekend.We pretty much know about the known smaller places,just looking for something longer  and private. Doesnt have to be free,just in middle tn area if possible.Not for hunting..thanks

Where are the "known" smaller places? I've been looking for a place to stretch my 30-06.

ORSA is the only place I know in TN that has a 1,000 yard range.  In Oak Ridge TN.

Let me.range find some of our family land. I may be able to setup a 1k range. Ill just have to check. I paced my field last week and I have 400 yds avliable right now if you guys wanna make the trip out here

thanks red,we prefer to have our own place to shoot, outside of competition.the aedc guys seem to have a nice setup.thanks spots !,kinda trying to stay within an hour of nashville

Then no place I know of with in 1 hour of Nashville.

I can shoot to about 175 at my place, but I have to get it set up.

The shot would cross my drive way.

100 yrds is easy, side yard to the back.

Well I am guessing there is not a Police range to shoot at for that range.

The only place in Middle Tennessee (besides Arnold) that comes close to that is the 300 meter range at Manchester.

You need to move out West if you want to shoot at those distances.

Viola has a range out to 300 yards. I myself shoot out on the farm and can stretch to 12 yards but I don't have a safe backdrop other than woods so I just use it for my own self. Don't wanna risk in this day and time getting sued.

Terry's in Manchester is 330 to the berm. Montgomery Shooting Complex is 400. Those are the farthest public I know in middle TN.

 

Rock Castle in KY goes out to 1,200 if I recall but you have to be a member, bring your own targets and pretty much need an ATV to set targets.
