Someone help!! Looks like a new addiction. I have always carried a Smith and Wesson S.W.A.T manual folder from yellow stone. It is a custom knife with some awesome artwork. My grandfather purchased this knife for me when we visited the park 13 years ago.

My grandfather has sense passed away. I have retired that knife to the safe. For a long time (2 years or so) i have gone blade-less. Its bothered me but not enough to fix the problem--until today.....

I purchased a Ken Onion Kershaw Speedsafe black out. Sweet knife in my opinion. It will fill my pocket til i find something better. That's where you guys come in. What would you recommend for less than $300? I don't want something heavy. I need a EDC. Links would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Ben

Do you want a locking folder?  If so, a Spyderco paramilitary 2 is about perfect for an EDC.  I can also recommend an Emerson A100, Benchmade 710, and for not a lot of cash, a Fallkniven U2. If you are wanting to spend 300 I say save a 100 more and get a nice semicustom or custom.  Sebenzas are nice and the folders that maker Ray Laconico is putting out are really nice.

You have a certain length or blade style you're looking for Ben? I've got several Spyderco and a couple Zero Tolerance and love them. They're not $300 knives though. I've been trying to find a Paramilitary2 for a couple months now. Nobody has them in stock and the ones I do find are $50+ overpriced. The Emerson and Benchmade are both great knives too.

Try the Kershaw Leek if you like spring-assisted knives. It replaced my blackout after I droped it and broke the tip. The Leek has I nice action to it. You can usually pick a leek up for less that $50, which gives you $250 for other stuff. Also, it's made in America!

If you like the Speed Safe design by Ken Onion, then you would love a ZT 0350  you can pick up one up for less than a Hundred.

If you want to spend $300.00 as Major Kong suggested I would search high and low for a used Sebenza small or large model, but when you come to the $300 price point, you may want to save some more and by a new Sebenza
