Anyone use Liberty Mutual?

With the new house coming soon we were just shopping around and comparing policies to our current State Farm ones. Stopped by Liberty Mutual today and they ran some numbers; ended up being a substantial amount lower for quadruple the coverage amounts that we currently pay for on auto and was lower overall on the house for the same coverage.

 

Has anyone had good/bad experiences with them?

I've been using them since maybe July or so. Can't complain, good coverage at a good rate, lockout and roadside assistance. I'm happy with them.

I've been sending money to liberty mutual for auto/house insurance for decades. The rare times I talk to them on the phone, they answer the phone promptly and seem nice folks. But I've not once submitted a claim, so can't say for sure whether they continue to be nice when money needs to go from them to me rather than vice-versa. Fingers crossed. First, that need for a claim will never happen, and second that maybe they continue to be nice folks settling claims, if it should ever be necessary.

I used then for a while as a teenager/young adult with great experience. I like everyone else never filed a claim. I use USAA for everything now with no complaints, and yes I have filed a claim.

yep.....I've used them for homeowners for quite a few years. Couple of years ago, we had some hail damage on our roof caught by a traveling roof salesman....(actually a local company that had noticed damage on several roofs in the immediate area and did a free inspection)  come to find out we did have some damage.  He called our agent, got an adjuster out and they okey dokeyd a brand new roof. 2 weeks from the initial roof salesman inspection I had a brand new roof installed for free.  No increase in premium or anything.  I can't beyoch about them at all..
