Honestly, at this point it feels like bait...

With all the Chinese and Russian cyber attacks going on. It almost makes you wonder if NK isn't some form of trojan horse.

They've always been doing this, it's just that a few of their recent propaganda products were especially poor which has made them newsworthy. Since trends are tracked with search engines and website hits, stories like this seem to come out all at once, when in fact it is just the media responding to the popularity of the original stories with more stories that are similar. It's how they make money.

Kinda like how there are so many shooting stories at once when there weren't any before. The shootings have always been going on, it's just that no one cared much until a tragic one. How 'bout Syria? The civil war there is raging just as it was a year ago, but there aren't hardly any headlines. Why? People aren't reading the stories so the news has stopped reporting it for the most part. Although we use the term "news" like it meant something.

Which is why it is important to look at all news through the filter of "what are they trying to sell me?"

Of course, almost every story that comes out of N. Korea might as well be in the comics section. I do enjoy laughing at them when hey pretend to be tough.

Well, despite the obvious comedic value, we really shouldn't under estimate them.... after all, it only took a few guys with box cutters and a copy of microsoft flight sim to cause one of our worst national tragedies.

They're obviously trying to invoke a reaction from us, but to what purpose? They can't honestly think they can take us by sheer force of action. There's got to be something more devious here.

This is actually just business as usual. They have a steady stream of propaganda they put out. The latest stuff may be more provocative, but so is detonating a nuclear device and firing test missiles toward Japan. I don't think this signifies anything other than Kim Jong Il's successor demonstrating that he intends to be just as much a douche nozzle as his father.

I honestly wonder if he's even in charge. Weren't the early reports about him that he was more westernized and laid back?

Depends on how you quantify "westernized" in regard to a person's view on western philosophy. His father loved western movies and had more Hennessy than all of France, but he hated the fact that 4 ft tall Korean dictators were marginalized by the round eye on a divided Korean Peninsula. I imagine the fat, commie apple doesn't fall far from the People's tree.

There were reports that he didn't share his fathers views on how NK interacted with other countries. I don't remember the exact quotes, it was on the news so it's probably a load of crap anyways.

For the Norks, Its about "nukes for food (and stuff for Dear General) while saving face", round 3 (as I recall).

While not explicitly said, up for sale is introduction of IAEA inspections.

Unfortunately, our FP is not too sharp.  4 of 5 of the Korean FP team leads used to speak Korean.  not anymore.

They literally cannot understand the background conversations at the table, much less muster any respect (and clout).  The other problem is that State really beleives that "if we disarm first, they will too".

Doesn't work with rogue states.

Folks, I served in Korea gaurding the DMZ on two occasions. Those gooks up north have been playing games since 1976 when they axed some americans to death during operation "Paul Bunyun". Those little skinny under fed, ill equiped, under paid little slopes don't want to fight! I've had the opportunity (with the aid of inturpretors [sp] ) to interview North Korean defectors, and they DO NOT want to fight. They only fear political exicution if they don't. They're hungry, and they hate their government!

Kim, Il Sung, Kim, Jung Il and Kim, Jung Uhhhhhh......were and are sick in the head! The only thing Kim, jung Uhhhhhh has going for him is those "home made Chinese bottle rockets" he calls nukes. I can tell you, that any serious aggresion on South Korea from the North, will be met with devistation (cruise missles, naval bombardment, airstrikes, artillery strikes ect) North Korea will not know what the hell hit them! Three forths of their army will surrender to MREs in the first hour of war!

I read this interesting story which supposes the recent propoganda is related to a more aggressive policy enacted by the Obama administration since the death of Kim Jong Il, which has gone unnoticed in the media because there has been no rhetoric from the administration to draw attention to it.  Interesting read, although I think NK's recent provocations have more to do with the new Glorious Leader attempting to appear strong and defiant.

I honestly didn't know anyone still believed the worlds most powerful military industrial complex could be attacked by a few guys with boxcutters. Interesting. Anyway, North Korea, Syria, Iran, Iraq, and Libya are the last five countries without a Rothschilds controlled Central Bank. Oh wait, scratch those last two off the list. Ya know, like the PRIVATELY owned Federal Reserve, who prints and loans us "US currency" that we then pay back with interest?

Well, it wasn't.  Civilians were attacked, such as unarmed female flight attendants and civilian pilots that had no training to deal with suicidal hijackers intending to ram planes into civilian buildings.  Before 9/11, any one of us could have accomplished the same thing.  I could have very easily got with a group of people, gone on Expedia and bought a few tickets, murder a flight attendant in order to use the still live flight attendant as barter to enter the cock pit, then steer that plane anywhere I want.  If I can do it, certainly anyone who has been planning to do it for nearly a decade can make it happen.

Or am I just being sheeple again?

Ya see, I did not know that. I didn't see any footage from inside the cabin of the plane. I only read the Official 9/11 Report, of which its own commissioners said, the entire report was a lie. I've never known the MSM to report the truth on anything. Guess you are more trusting than I am.
