Here's another, in Texas:

 

Elderly Man's home has been broken in to multiple times; Thugs comes in through the window and meets a bullet. Dies on scene, then the thug's family comes to the house saying the guy should not have used his gun without warning the thug first that he had one and was willing to use it. Maybe he just needed a rape whistle instead?

 

He also had an 18 page long criminal record w/ prison time.
