another AR question

Getting a lower receiver... NFA its marked multi-caliber....I know I can do a 5.56 build.....question is can I use it for a 7.62x39....guess that would be an AK47 caliber thanks for the input

7.62 x 39 doesn't play well in an AR because of the straight magwell. If you want those ballistics in an AR, you should try a 300 AAC Blackout.

6.5 Grendel

6.8 SPC

.458 SOCOM

.450 Bushmaster

50 Beowulf

 

You can also do some pistol calibers with mods. I think that's about it.

5.56 is most popular and cheapest. Most of them are accurate. You just have to look into them and find the best fit for the kind of shooting you want to do.

Really wanted that 7.62 build.... and I've been told you can't do a. 308 on said receiver

Nope. Won't fit in the mag well. You need an AR-10

If you haven't already bought a lower, I would look at the new gen 556r. By the time you factor in the availability and cost of the other ammo calibers listed above (aside from 223/556)....not long before you save some serious coin by sticking with the 7.62x39

That's a main reason I bought the sig..li wanted to have a semi auto in 30 cal. I now have the lar-8 as well...but that's a different story
