I have lived in East TN/Southwest VA for dang near my whole life!  I was gone for several years during my time in the military, specifically the USN.  I moved back home in 1989 and have been here ever since with no plans to ever leave this beautiful part of the country we live in.

 

I am really into just about anything that goes bang, but my favorites are my .22's, 1911's and a few AR's that have taken up permanent residence with me.  I have been shooting since I was very young and can remember my first Nylon 66 and shooting rats with my 410 at my grandmother's house, dang, I must have been about 8 when I made my first kill!  I am not a hunter (but have plans to start soon and have a great .308 set up along with a 6.8 SPC), other than the few varmint's that cross my path, but I love to shoot at those silhouette targets!

 

I get a big kick out of trading on guns, which is pretty much my only hobby right now (other than shooting them of course!), but I do have a core group of guns that I won't part with, especially my Ruger MKII stainless slabside, dang that gun is a tack driver!

 

I am increasingly alarmed at the state of our country and very concerned at how fragile our economy and way of life are.  And with the present administration trying to take away our ammo (I don't think they will get our guns) I am being very conservative with my shooting and have been stocking up on reloading supplies.

 

I heard about this website from a friend with whom I do some trading with and am looking forward to spending time here, I have 100% positive feedback on RFC, GB and Ebay, but I hardly ever frequent the latter since they require a PP account to buy or sell, not like the good old days when everything was money orders and snail mail!

 

Thanks for letting me join your community and I plan on becoming a benefactor/paying my dues I guess, soon.
