Refinishing a 1911

Recommended Posts

I have a Kimber Pro CDP Carry II, that has significant holster wear. I want to get it looking like new again, but have never messed with any type of coatings. It is an everyday carry gun and I want a extremely durable, but good looking finish. It's the two tone model, but that doesn't matter if I go a solid color or not. Does anyone have any recommendations on where I could have it done Locally (I'm in Knoxville). I have ordered stuff through Predator Custom shop, but have never had any work done by them. Thanks for the help.

Show us a picture of your Kimber.  Once upon a time, honest holster wear was a statement of  care and usage.  Shows character like laugh lines on the face of a beatiful woman or highly polished well worn custom boots.

Is it worn to the point of constantly rusting?  Absent, that, I would carefully wipe it down everytime it was used and enjoy it's testiment to long careful use.

We don't do hard chrome. We send plating jobs to Accurate Plating and Weaponry in Newville Alabama. You can send your  weapon directly to them.

I'm wanting to hard chrome an L.A.R. Grizzly.  Anyone know if Predator does that?
