Yeah but Mike, many conservatives are just as concerned about social issues as they are with fiscal issues, foreign policy and returning to the true constitutional republic our founders set up...I know that because I'm one of "those kind" of conservatives (although I'm not a Baptist, Primitive or otherwise. :) ).

I'm not a prude but I do have strongly held beliefs about right and wrong and about such things as the right to life, what "marriage" actually means, and some of those other pesky social issues that, unfortunately, seem to drive segments of the people into the Democratic camp...I'm not going to ignore those beliefs just so we can get an "acceptable" Republican in office.

And... here we are :)

The Republican Party is about to die, anyway. There are too many people dissatisfied with it and it just needs to be flushed
down the toilet. The core of conservatives will never go away. The independents, libertarians and disgruntled democrats(and
there are many) will get on board if things are done right, and people like Karl Rove are kept out. The John McCains and Lamar
Alexanders need to go, too. We should be infusing people like Cruz and Rubio from our state within the party apparatchik.
Teach these 'crats they should retire and be happy with the mess they gave us.

Eh, it may not get that far as fast as things are going downhill.

Agree.

The Progressives like John McCain, the RINO's like Lamar Alexander, etc., need to go on over to the Democratic Socialists party where they belong and stop hiding out in the Republican Party.

I agree. This is why I left the Republican Party. Of course, this is after I discovered the female orgasm wasn't a myth, to reference mikegideon's post

Don't tell anybody.

I have already picked my candidate for 2016. Dr. Ben Carson. He DID SAY if he were to run for President, well, he will leave that up top God. That's not a no. Now if he would just run.

I'm pretty sure Karl Rove wouldn't approve of him.

Well, on top of Olympic Arms, CTD, LaRue Tactical and several others no longer selling to LEO's in anti 2A States, and with Magpul saying they are leaving Colorado, you can now add

Short Rifles and J&G Sales.

Came across a post on military.com in an article about Magpul by the
owner of Short Rifles. As he says, he is a small company, but he is
going to do what he can and that is not to deal with states that have or
are pushing through Anti 2A legislation.

http://shortrifles.com/

And J&G sells lots of Class III to LE Agencies. No longer in the states that are Anti 2A.

ANNOUNCING A NEW J&G LEO SHIPPING POLICY

For immediate release:

As
state and local jurisdictions are increasingly passing laws which
infringe upon the Second Amendment of the US Constitution, J&G Sales
is implementing a new policy on shipping restricted items to these
states and localities.

Effective immediately, laws that restrict
firearms, ammunition, or magazine possession by law abiding citizens
will also be applied to state and local law enforcement and government
agencies in that jurisdiction. All residents will be treated equally.
Honorable citizens, law enforcement personnel, and government agents,
should all be allowed to utilize the most effective defensive equipment
available.

J&G believes that there should not be a
difference between the rights of citizens and those of government
employees. This new policy will also help us to be sure we avoid the
consequences of not conforming with the anti-firearm regulations in
these various jurisdictions.

We expect to lose some revenue from
government purchases, however we feel it is essential to defend the US
Constitution by making a statement about the importance of the Second
Amendment in maintaining all our freedoms.

We await the day when
all law abiding citizens will be able to possess the most effective
means and tools available for self-defense regardless of where they live
or for whom they work.

Thank you

I suppose they could change their name to "Democratic Party 2"...at least that would be more descriptive.

If there's not an official TGO style guide, we need one.  Entry number one shall dictate that if one uses a phrase such as "Democratic Party 2", it shall be followed by a colon, two spaces, and the following phrase:  "Electric Boogaloo".  This results in the more satisfying and entertaining "Democratic Party 2: Electric Boogaloo".  Please note that this usage is for any real or hypothetical sequels the author or authors may deem appropriate.  As an example:

I read in the paper that Ben Bernanke had authorized QE2, which I found out meant a 2nd round of Quantitative Easing.  It makes me uneasy to see money printed willy-nilly.

Look how much better things get with just a minor change:

Hope this helps.

Here's how you do it. Rick Perry...

http://dailycaller.com/2013/02/20/rick-perry-wants-colorado-gun-magazine-maker-to-move-to-texas/

Well, our illustrious governor would never do that because...

1. It would require a decision and given how long it takes for him to make one Magpull will likely have already moved and begun business in another state., and

2. He probably doesn't want any of those nasty, controversial "high capacity" magazines made in his state.

I really hope he runs or that Herman Cain would run again. Or Rand Paul.

You must of forgot Cain's debate performances, and his alleged infidelities. Count him and Rick Perry out b/c of poor debate performances. Carson would be interesting, but he probably wouldn't want the media vetting. Rand Paul and Marco Rubio are the two leading candidates as of now. Hopefully, some good conservative candidate will emerge in 2016.

I'm convinced that the alleged infidelities were just a low-blow BS assault from the left to get him to drop out. You notice that as soon as he dropped from the race, nothing else was said about it. I would definitely vote for Rand Paul or Marco Rubio.

And as for the debate performances, that obviously doesn't matter. Obama got totally annihilated on all three debates but he still "won".

Ok, sorry, my grammar Nazi kicked in. This is totally off topic, but... the correct phrase is "must have." The contraction is "must've," and I see SO many people use "of" incorrectly here.

I apologize for seizing opportunity; rant off. Carry on... :usa:

I think they should join the other company's that refuse to sell to states that have state/ fed restrictions on guns and mags etc. and NOT SELL TO POLICE or any agency's in those states because they are not exempt from the laws either. If I understood this correctly, Barrett here in Murfreesboro was one of the first to do it and the list grows.
I guess Como/ Bloomburg screwed their own NYPD. To bad Glock don't jump on the band wagon and boycott those states.

I'd call that pretty biased: I had it at one each way and one a tie.

And no way the USA electorate would put Rand Paul in office. Even if some big and Very Bad things happen before '16 to swing things back to the GOP, it won't be Paul.
