Speed Sights; Anyone try them?

Anyone here tried these things? I like the idea of them, but wondered how they might perform in practice. 

 

Also, would these be legal for IDPA?

I've been trying to find these, in stock, for a few weeks with no luck.

I listen to a podcast (Handgun World with Bob Mayne I think). Speedsights was a sponsor for a while but he had to boot them because of bad customer service and they were very hard to get in contact with even for him. He did speak highly of the sights and recommended them if you could actually get them. I would also like to try them myself but not ready to take the plunge yet.

Haven't tried them personally but...he might at least give you an overview and some helpful info.

Better off spending the money on ammo and training than wasting cash on a gimmick. You don't use the sights under 7 yards, anyways.

I'm an XS Big Dot fan too ted. I know some folks say they aren't good at distance, but it really just take some trigger time behind them.

 

That being said, I wouldn't mind trying the Speed Sights...
