This guy is an atheist, a liberal, and is against any anti-gun legislation.  Some of the things he says makes me cringe, but buy gosh he's a liberal who supports the 2nd amendment.  He says that the he has been thrown under the bus, for opposing gun bans. If I had a choice as to which liberal to be neighbors with, it would be this atheist SOB.

Disarming the good guys is a fundamental part of the Democrat platform.  Saying you are one of them that disagrees with gun control is like saying you are a Republican that agrees with socialism.  It just don't work.  No, I have no "liberal allies" in this.

just came to see what the paradoxical thread title was about...

some of his older blog posts do lean liberal but some are conservative or just middlin libertarian...

as a science/military fiction author, veteran, 'editor-at-large' of survivalblog.com (i hate any title *-at large, on a side note) i'm not terribly surprised he holds mutual views but he does make some very salient points.

hopefully he can at least spank some of the sheep back into the pen before they realize they could get sheared if they keep on

If we use our heads and don't be argumentive jackholes, we can get some of the leftys to realize the truth. You can't change them overnight, but with calm, cool, collective almost reluctant fact exsposure some can wake up. Some never will. But I got two just tonight ready to buy there first handguns. The need to buy will most likely come from a threat, but once the freedom is realized one will be hard pressed to give it up.
