Co-worker says it's illegal to have more than 10,000$ on your person?

Money is a tool for all, not some. You don't make money illegal to hold just because some happen to be criminals.

in other words, you can't have it both ways when it is a legitimate tool for commerce. When money becomes the tool

for catching criminals, you and I are in the trap. Are you a criminal? I'm not.

Other things causing probable cause, I can live with, but not the money. Other things being the tools of the trade.

If you take the money away from someone, you take the capability of that person to defend himself, violation of one of

those very laws meant to protect us from criminals like certain "interdiction teams" that use this tactic to make money.

We need a lot less laws and a more respectful and moral society. A lot of these laws meant to protect society only serve

to entrap and enslave society, instead. Power.

It's also none of the IRS's business how much cash one has on him. They have way too much police power, and they

could be abolished with a reasonable non-progressive tax system.

Lots of problems, and lots of opportunities for government to be the bad guy. Some crime is actually created by our

laws, intentionally.
