They say you have to have a legitimate death threat against you in order to obtain a permit, and that “self-defense” is not a good enough reason.

 

So, can a person go in there with his buddy and say, "my friend here threatened to kill me, so I need a permit.  And btw, I threatened to kill him, so he needs one too."

These commies realize that they have to kill off some of the freeby deadbeat population b/c the freeby well is running dry. If everyone in the commie states had SD protection, the population would increase, and there would not be enough money to sustain the deadbeats lifestyle, as they are now realizing, so they hope the jungle takes care of balancing out the finances. Social Darwinism at its best. Dog eat dog except for the elitist commies. But these commies are just a bunch of dumba** es that do not have a clue how to run a state or country.

There are some good aspects but at this point they do not out weigh the bad, at least for me. The city council is incredibly corrupt, the mayor is a racist, tax wasting idiot. It's been overdeveloped to the point of no return. A buddy of mine from back home asked when I was moving back, not anytime soon. He'd be out here himself it weren't for the differences in pay. He makes really good money in a field that would only pay $15-$20 hourly out here.

There may be a time when Ca pulls its head out of its ass and I go back, it most likely wont be back to La though.

Having said that, one can easily move an hour and a half away to Kern county up in the Frasier Park area and receive their permit, the chief LEO up there Sherrif Youngblood is good people.

Likewise the OC is apparently much easier to get a permit as well, not sure about San Diego, but I doubt it. Probably easier up north in the Emerald Triangle. Humbolt, Trinity, and Uereka. Forget about Frisco and Sacremento.

Arg, I'm gonna go play with my non bullet button AR and be glad that I'm alive and in Tennessee.

permit before long. They'll be back to their previous practice of IOU's for paychecks in no time.

California is a beautiful state...I can understand why people would want to live there...unfortunately, the sate is controlled by liberal/commie/drugged-out idiots who vote  people like themselves into office and continue to screw things up.  Even when they get a good person in office the rest of the legislature is so screwed up that there simply isn't a chance to set things right or when something is set right the 9th Circuit knocks it down.
