carry permit classes put on hold by homeland security?

I was just listening to the radio and someone called the show I was listening to and said homeland security has ordered that all permit classes are to be put on hold till April. They were saying it had something to do with the qualifying targets changing size or something.

Anyone heard anything about this?

I can find no such press release from DHS, .gov, or any credible source. (heck, I can't even find any "not so credible" souces saying this)

The person that was calling about it said they were going to the Montgomery county range so that makes sense. Said they called 2 more places and they said the Sam thing though.

What would homeland security have to do with this?

Tennessee Dept of Safety is now the Dept of Safety and Homeland Security. They may have revoked the license of the school doing the permits.

When in signed my wife up at Carter's she said her class in April will be one of the first with the new smaller targets. The max distance will be 7yds and not 15.
