Gun Companies Boycott New York: Urging all Manufactures to Stop Selling Firearms to NY Police

Have there been any "official" responses from NY on the actions from the Olympic, etc? What about news coverage?

Do you have children? Do they ever try to act like they aren't bothered by your punishments? That will be how the officials in New York will act.

Let them buy all the guns they can afford and then some.

Sell no ammo to any government entities within a state with onerous gun laws like NY and IL. Notify retailers in the state that if they sell to the agencies, their supply will be severely restricted.

Second Amendment supporters should avoid vacationing in states that pass restrictive laws'

Until the manufacturers who actually sell firearms to New York follow suit, this doesn't mean a whole lot. If Glock, Remington, Colt, Smith & Wesson all were to jump in on this, then it would have some teeth.

I just left a message on the Ruger Website. Under News & Resources click on Tell the CEO. Send a note, it couldn't hurt.

I'm glad to see at least some companies taking a stand. It will be interesting to see how far this goes. I hope they'll stand strong and that others will follow.

I received an e-mail from Western Rifle Shooters on the 15th with this link: http://mountainguerrilla.wordpress.com/2013/02/15/a-suggestion-for-the-auxiliary/

I sent e-mails to Glock, S&W, and Sig urging them to boycott states putting forth unconstitutional laws. Will it do any good? I don't know...but it can't hurt.

I think contacting the ammo companies can't hurt either. Maybe it's an exercise in futility...but it's beats doing nothing... :2cents:

I just posted on Winchester, Federal, Remington, and Riger's Facebook page asking them to boycott states that have passed Anti 2nd Amendement legislation.  If you have Facebook pages and are not doing this as well, please think about doing so. This is quick and easy to do and lets them know that if they do this, they will have public support.

All it would do is damage the gun companies that actually sell guns to them. Does anyone think for one second this would cause Cuomo/Bloomberg or any other state to back down? Of course it wouldn’t. And would private buyers pick up the slack if they did participate? Of course they wouldn’t.

Principles enunciated in the Constitution are worth way more than monetary profits. If companies don't take a stand for liberty and freedom, then one day soon they will not have a company at all. Liberty and Freedom are priceless.

So is our economy and having gun manufacturers in the U.S. If our economy fails the Constitution will just be another piece of paper, but that doesn’t seem to matter to many.

It only matters if you think the private sales of firearms is less than government contracts, I guess. I'll bet you individual

sales are more than the federal, state and local governments combined, and should remain that way, if they have any

sense. ]

Blood, whips, guns or money, take your pick...

Transferring power and money to the federal government doesn't do anything to protect the Constitution. It actually does

more to destroy it. Those companies who wish to bypass the individual and only do government deals are dealing with the

Devil and will find themselves with nothing more than instant gratification. Sex-based gun sales. :D

If our economy fails, it's because the politicians, and the people that vote for these politicians forgot about the principles of the Constitution that is the foundation of our nation.

Just saw this on Facebook:

A STATEMENT FROM RONNIE BARRETT:

Barrett’s Position Regarding the Assault on Liberty
February 20, 2013

... Barrett opposes those who are illegally disarming the American public from their efficient arms and creating superior armed elitist government agencies.

Elected state officials of New York, having been sworn to protect our Constitution, have instead committed an offense against it and their citizens by stripping inalienable rights duly protected and guaranteed under the Second Amendment. By their deliberate and sinister actions, these officials now cause their state and local policing agencies to enforce these unconstitutional and illegal so called “laws”.

By current law, Barrett cannot be an accomplice with any lawbreaker, therefore, cannot and will not service or sell to New York government agencies. Barrett also applies this stance to the individual elected official who, as a matter of public record, has voted for or created regulation that violates the constitutional rights of their citizens. This is an expansion of our 2002 ban against the California government due to their second amendment infringements, and shall apply to any future violators.

In the course of world history there have been officials that strip inalienable rights from the people that were given to all by our Creator. Most of these officials inevitably come to trial, some do not.

Intentionally violating constitutional rights by officials that have sworn to uphold them should have severe prison sentences.

With the clear vision of horrible events in history repeating itself, all manufacturers of firearms or related equipment remaining in partnership with such violators should have a respectable fear of being found with the guilty on their day of trial.

During this era of assault on liberty, Barrett will remain steadfast in our efforts to serve law-abiding citizens of all fifty states, and stands together with you in the struggles we will fight and win.
