GA ramping up efforts again to claim TN water

it failed the first time, gonna fail again. I remember this from about 3 or 4 years ago. They just had to fall back to regroup lol

It looks like Georgia is going to have to restrain the growth of Atlanta to comply with the available water supply.  That's a good thing - I don't want to end up living in an Atlanta suburb here in TN.

Even with over 12" of rain in January alone, they're still short of water?

God forbid urban planners consider the infrastructure before issuing building permits.  Utter incompetence on their part does not create an emergency on our part.  I agree, sell it to them.

Screw Atlanta.  They got themselves into this mess and they need to get themselves out of it.

If they started siphoning water from us now the consumption would only grow every year.  As the Tennessee is a rather significant tributary to the Mississippi it could impact everyone downstream all the way to the gulf.

Study the history of the Colorado river and why there's even barely a trickle that makes it to the Gulf of California now....out of control development and consumption.

Georgia has ocean frontage, they need to save the money that they are going to spend losing the battle with TN and start that desalination plant and pipeline from the coast.

SOooo.....Atlanta area builds WAY beyond their water resources and want's TN water.  EF'EM!!!!  I've lived in GA twice.  Got screwed by their state taxes both times. They've STILL got $1100 of my tax money that I have a CANCELLED CHECK for and the BASS-TURDS won't turn it loose. I'd like to pee down the GA tax peoples throats. ROT IN HAIL GEORGIA..!!!!!

Gotta say I agree with y'all even though right now I'm living in Atlanta. Work at Grady Hospital and the trash I deal with nightly just getting to/from work is awful. The politics down here are so incredibly corrupt. Y'all keep the water, I'll be back soon and we can have a toast of sparkling clear TN water. And might I say that moving from TN no income tax, to GA income tax sucks.
