Anyone know anything about Amazon's new policies?

I hope not. I pretty much use my Amazon Prime account for just about everything. I get boxes here every few days from amazon. In fact, I got 3 deliveries from them today.

I sure would hate to have to cancel my business with them, but I will if feel it' necessary.

I hope it's not true. I'll guess we'll find out soon

Same here, I just got two different holster deliveries from them today for a new pea shooter, binoculars yesterday, and something almost every single day.

I am already not looking forward to possibly giving them the heave-ho in 2014, now this comes up.  If this is true that will REALLY SUCK!

90% of the stuff in my house came from Amazon.  I was an early internet adopter and online buyer (since 1997) without any fear of online buying.  This will ruin my day for sure.

Amazon has had the nearly the same policy of "prohibited items" since I started selling there back in 2007. My list from my welcome email is missing "zip guns" and "receivers" though. The enforcement of the policies that they do have is VERY lax, b/c they make money off every sale, they want as many items up for sale as possible. The only time I've had an issue was when a "customer" complained about a listing I had, though I believe it was actually a "compeditor" trying to sell the same item for much more $$$.

My guess in this case is that the complaintant was selling something against amazon's policy and probably has been for years, but now a lefty customer stumbled upon the item, claimed that they were "offended by the seller's blatant disregard of amazon policy" and pretty much forced amazon to review the seller's listings or catch the stink of some blogger or journalist publishing that they are "letting" sellers sell items against their own policies.(they pretty much always have)
