Hmm... perhaps what has changed is people got smart and noticed it is un-constitutional to disarm the people when we go to town.

It has not proven to be unconstitutional at all, or you could carry in Illinois and DC.

 

You can't even necessarily buy the privilege to carry in 10 states, as you can here. And if you haven't noticed, there are lots of places "in town" we can't carry here either.

To answer Ms. McCartney, it was changed when it didn't work because bad guys didn't follow the law. That was when towns only had from a handful, to a few hundred, residents with one road in and out. Good luck trying that nowadays, dipwad.

Just because the Supreme Court hasn't ruled on it doesn't mean it hasn't been proven. Here, I'll prove it right now. The 2nd Amendment, which is written in clear, concise, and easily understandable English says, "A well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed."

It's hard to believe Texas doesn't allow open carry.

Love it or hate it you will realize how important OC is once you live in a state that doesn't allow it.

It's annoying that I can't OC while hiking here. Only legal while "camping " and fishing.

I'll bump up your 2nd Amendment rights if you don't mind restricting 1st Amendment rights in order to prevent CC vs OC debates;)

It hasn't changed.  That was never the law or even common anywhere in the US.  There were a couple of highly publicized incidents where the local sheriff required cowboys who were coming in town to get drunk after a cattle drive to disarm before coming into town.  Most states still do not allow those who are drinking to carry firearms.

 

As usual, you can count on the Brady Center to distort, lie, and ignore actual facts.
