Cheap Chinese LED flashlights, hold up to 12ga. mounting?

I've got a couple of these cheap china flashlights. They are pretty bright and work well so far. I've been considering putting one on an HD 12 ga. They only have a tail cap switch, so a little inconvenient but they do put out quite a light. Even have a strobe setting which is really blinding  to look at. Anybody ever mounted one of these to see if they would hold up under fire?

I think the ones I have are Trustfire or some such.

Go over to Budget Light Forums and do a search for mounts. There are several threads there, including some on how to replace the tail cap clicky with a pressure switch.  I'd think a clicky would be a liability under some situations.

Oh, one other thing. Most Chinese clicky tail caps are negative clicky, meaning you have to depress the clicky all the way to get the light on and off. They make positive clickies, which would be better for gun mount. A forward clicky will activate the light with halfway pressure on the switch and then immediately go off when you release the pressure. If you want the light to stay on, just depress the clicky until it clicks.

Some of the slightly more expensive LED lights will have a memory so you can set it to strobe, for example, and it will turn on in the strobe mode. If the light has to cycle through the 5 modes (hi med low strobe SOS) to turn off, it would definitely be a liability on a tactical defense weapon.

Just some stuff to think about...

This one has the five modes, but does remember the last mode. I wish you could choose the mode separate from the power switch. Yes, a positive press for power would be nicer. I'll check out the website.

Never had any luck with cheap lights on a 12g. They work well on ARs and the like. Shotguns just have too much recoil for them to hold up well over time.
