Just something i threw together.  Stand was built with metal I had laying around and weights about 200 lbs.  I used 8, 80lb bags of sack-crete.

Did you frame and pour the concrete in place, or attached it after it had cured?

poured on the floor with metal plates imbedded in the bottom at the leg locations.  After curing, lifted in place and welded to stand

You need to throw some wheels on that bad boy. Attach them so they don't make contact with the ground when it's being used, but then when you're done, you can lean it up and wheel it around, like a dolly.

I don't think there will be any leaning it up and moving it.  I'm thinking this thing weights 700 plus pounds.  I'm putting some skids on the front legs so that hopefully the 4-wheeler will be able to pull it around.

Could just put a motor on it.

I'm guessing closer to 900 pounds.

8 bags at 80 lbs = 640 lbs + roughly 70 lbs water = 710 lbs
Stand = 200 lbs

Total 910 lbs

Did you reinforce the concrete with steel bars, wire, etc.? If not, I'm afraid that top will crack if you tempt to drag it around too much.

Nice shop.
I need to get out of the city and find some land where I can have a shop with the acreage to shoot and play.

He don't like sitting on the ground when he is in a Thunderbolt and Lightfoot mood...

Mind me asking why it's built so sturdy?

I used what metal I had laying around.  If I had bought new, it would have been lighter.  The tops thickness is a 2x4 width.  I didn't know if I could have went thinner without cracking, and to lazy to cut the 2x4's down

Right now, I've only got about $75 into it plus time.

I wouldn't sweat it. That thing should last very, very long time. Can you move it into place and leave it there, or does it have to be robed every time you want to use it?

It's now sitting out at my shooting range at the farm.  Only time it will be moved is when I want to change the shooting distance.  currently set at 50 yds.  can go out to 300yds.
