XDS .45ACP Reviews??

Hey guys, I am looking for a good conceal carry pistol and I am considering the XDS .45.  I have a XDM 4.5 inch in 9mm and absolutely love it but need something smaller framed for conceal carry.  Does anyone have any experience or opinions on this pistol.  I'm not a newby to guns and shooting but definately a newby to carrying.

My wife and I both have XD-S's and love them.  One of the softest shooting compact .45ACP handguns I have ever had the pleasure of owning.  Zero problems out of them.

 

I pocket carry mine as a backup gun or deep concealment gun when conditions dictate.  It's not my primary but it has served as such on a few occasions when I didn't feel like carrying something else IWB.  That said, I wouldn't hesitate to use it as my daily primary carry but prefer not to do that as 6-rds of anything is still just 6-rds.

There is a good review of them in the latest edition of American Handgunner. Also, my neighbor owns one, and I've had the pleasure of shooting it. Great little gun, the only thing I don't like is the 5+1 magazine. There's also a 7+1 mag, but using it makes the footprint larger for CC.

I've seen some of them have a mag release issue. Literally seen with my own eyes not just read about however I've never fired one.

I had one for a while, nice little compact striker fired .45.  It left some serious indentations in my hand before I put the talon grip on it. The 7 round mags do extend the grip a bit as do the pearce +0 pinky plate for the 5 round mag.

The only problem with mine is that it shoots about 3 inches lower than point of aim at 15 yards. Just have to aim high with mine. My buddy at work has one that i have shot and it is dead on.

I bought one, but have yet to carry it.  I ran 50 rounds through it and it functioned flawlessly.  Cool little gun that I pretty much got because it's cool and now sits in my safe with all the other cool guns :)

I like the XDS, but then again my primary carry is a 5 shot revolver, so my opinion doesn't really count
