M92 Stock Install

Recommended Posts

Anybody know the easiest way to install a stormwerkz or ace folding folding mechanism to a Yugo M92 pistol? Waiting on my stamp to come back and brainstorming ideas. Also anyone that does the work needed in middle tn? I've heard that drill and tapping doesn't work because not enough metal, I've heard drilling and putting bolts inside but then you have to worry about bolts floating around your reciever. I don't weld so if that is the solution will need someone. Thoughts?

If the m92 pistol is anything like the draco just put the folding mechanisim up to the rear plate and mark the holes then drill them out with a regular bit ...Go to ace hardware and get some screws " and nuts" that match the hole size and put the nuts on the inside and use some locktight to keep them from coming loose

Has there been any reported issues with the bolts coming loose that you are aware of, or problems with bolting to such thin metal? This just seems too simple or am I over thinking it?

not that I have heard ... the plate on the back of the draco is a steel welded on plate if the m92 is the same you should be fine hell the mechanisim is made to bolt to the internal reciver block "seperate peice" on regular ak's and the block is nothing but metal with tapped holes to put your screws in .. which would be no different than nuts if you use lock washers or lock tight then all the better.  hell most ak stocks are held on with wood screws so strong bolts and nuts in a steal plate should be just what the doctor ordered.
