I went past Ken Arnold's booth today and he had 30 rnd. Tapco mags for AKs @11 bucks a piece. I picked up three of them. I never shot with a Tapco before and wonder what to expect. I know the majority of their stocks I've tried are typically slightly under par but serviceable, just never used the mags. I''d have picked up more but I am covered up in steel mags at this point.

I've used them occasionally. They're ok. I have had misfeeds but I think i just need to clean them.

I have several and have never had a problem  with them. They feed well and aren't too heavy.

You can't go wrong with the price. If you can find the slabside Tapco AK mags, pick a few up...they are awesome mags in my experience!

Thanks for the replies, good to know that they do okay. Wanting to make sure that everything I have is 922r compliant, which is why I bought the mags to begin with. I know it's not enforced but I expect to see, at minimum, a tightening of rules and regulations and 922r being one of them.

When had an AK74, the Tapco 5.45 mags actually fit better and functioned just as well, if not better.
