Pistol glass breaker ........

One of the dumber things I've seen. If an officer needs a glass punch it can be easily carried and stowed on their person, or do what everyone else does and use an asp. I guess this is for suspects in a vehicle that are being held a gunpoint by officers so they can break the glass without having to take their hands off their firearm, but it seems cumbersome and you'd have to get right up to the window to do it. I'd much rather have the gun in one hand and an asp in the other smashing it out.... or maybe just keep some porcelain chips in your kit.

Widely used it claims... first I've ever seen of something like that. Who am I to argue, I'm no expert, but it sure seems like an awkward way of breaking a window.

Honestly my first thought WAS someone getting shot while an officer was trying to mess with the dang thing. Just seems like one more way to have an accident happen.

DANG that's pricey... I could get maybe 13 regular spring punches that do the same thing

Wasn't there a cop that accidentally shot a guy on the ground when he was trying to pull his taser and pulled his gun instead? This looks like a similar situation waiting to happen. Edited by Romad7

The way it is described you lock the spring back and the release mechanism is pushed against the glass so you never lose your POA.

Who in front of it would not think the gun went off ? Edited by Threeeighty

I'm not 100% sure but I can't imagine this fitting in any holster even one designed for a light. I wonder if they have their own proprietary holster. If not, maybe I can design one and sell them the patent. Haha.

Agreed. However, if you limited it to just the mag in your gun it would greatly reduce that scenario. Still pretty useless though.

True, I still wouldn't want anything pointy or sharp coming out of the bottom of my gun and holster.
