Remington 700 .223 scope mounting options

I have a rail on top of the gun now but I want to change it out for a mount that takes advantage of the predrilled receiver so I have a lil more access for tossing in single rounds at the range.  The rail blocks a good portion of this area even though it is milled out there.  Right now I have Nikon 223 BDC 600 Scope on it and besides it being up to high the M223 scope mount looks a little too tacticool and I have no fore and aft adjustment due to the way the rail is slotted.

Whats out there that y'all have decent experience with?

I not sure which rail you are currently using but I personally like to use Millett 20moa picatinny rails on my Rem 700 .308's, they are milled out plenty so no problems w/clearence.

Do you want a one-piece rail or are you wanting to go two piece reciever mounts? If so I personally like Millett "angle-loc" mounts & rings.
