Posted (edited)

Upcoming MATCH: Scenario shooting Steel Match - Sunday February 24th, 2013
Round count: 75(or 100) pistol rounds minimum
5 Stage Scenario type (Run n Gun) match

The match will be suitable for either pistol or shotgun or pistol-caliber carbine.  A person can enter multiple times with different entries.  Type of weapon will determine your division and then everyone is heads up against one another in that division.  Outlaw rules so there are no rules (EXCEPT SAFETY)!

For those that still ask(RYAN), you can use any type of shotgun, any optic pistols(except a 5.7x28), unlimited amount of magazines and no size restrictions on magazine length.  This match is supposed to be a fun match for everyone to be relaxed not so much as a competition atmosphere.

Looks like a great day for shooting steel.

Steel is a lot of fun and has instant gratification.

It can be humbling though. :ugh:

Will there be a single stack division?   How much to shoot an extra division?

Thanks,

Tom

Yes multiple entries can be done. Of course there will be divisions for all types of firearms(except rifle caliber).

Thanks for the reply. How much to shoot an additional division? Will you run the shotguns after the pistols.

Shotguns, pistol and pistol caliber carbines will all run at the same time. Multiple entries are at full price. Please look at www.mctsclub.com/timesfees.html.

Hognut says new Port-O-Jons in at the range also. They are the handicap accessible and therefore larger ones. You won't have to worry about dropping your pistol down in the tank anymore.

Weather has changed a little but still will be nice.

First time for my son and I to ever shoot the range. We enjoyed it and will be back. Was impressed how smooth it was ran and what great range officers we had (LagerHead). They ran a safe, tight ship but without a range nazi attitude and that was deeply appreciated. We left learning a few things about shooting steel, and met some great folks at the same time who were more than happy to share tips and opinions about gear, guns, etc. Hope to make it a regular monthly run. MCTS does it right!
