LaRue Tactical Issues New Sales Policy for State and Local Agencies

Effective today, in an effort to see that no legal mistakes are made by LaRue Tactical and/or its employees, we will apply all current State and Local Laws (as applied to civilians) to state and local law enforcement / government agencies. In other words, LaRue Tactical will limit all sales to what law-abiding citizens residing in their districts can purchase or possess.

I wish others in the firearms industry would follow suit.  While their statement is couched in not wanting to run afoul of the law, it seems like they're taking a stand.  What's good for the goose is good for the gander!

Barrett spoke of not selling guns at all to state governments, etc., as a form of protesting all these idiotic laws. He already did that to California when they banned the 50 BMG.

All these gun and ammo manufactures need to get together and do this.

The only problem I see is they might bypass American stuff and buy foreign made crap, losing that revenue in the USA.

If more did you'd see a whole lotta SWAT guys with boo boo lip. The whole state of California would have to use neutered guns for their LEOs.

"Most only carry 3 or maybe 4 magazines anyway(long gun) and 2 extra for pistol. Why should they be restricted to 10 or 7 round magazines? That doesn’t make much sense does it?"

One crybaby posted the above. What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Do a lot of Police Departments or Government agencies buy guns from Larue Tactical?

I know a lotta fancy odds and ends get used. I hung out with some of their reps at a Mil/LE expo years ago. They supply a whole mess of stuff other than guns. Cool folks too. Got lots of free swag from those guys.

As a cop, I think this is awesome and agree, more in the industry need to follow suit.
I've spoken to Mark several times and already had a high opinion of him.
Now, all the more so.

Also, business-wise, civilian sales far outclass LE sales for guns/stuff. So, win-win. Edited by TN-popo

I took their statement differently...smartass, giving the finger while maintaining the angelic halo around his head.
I loved it.
