Former LAPD officer subject of manhunt.

I hope they get him before he kills anymore anybody.  It would really be awesome if an armed citizen were to stop him.

In regards to his manifesto, who needs an iPod?  Who needs an iPhone?  Who needs steak?  Bologna is good enough.  Who needs toilet paper?  There are leaves.  Who "needs" oxygen?  The list of stupidity goes on.

I hope an armed citizen with an AR 15 stops him.

"Mr. Dorner's gun control views make it sound as though much of his thinking has been affected by CNN."

It seems he has a few lefties endorsing him as well..

ah, the anti  gun angle surfaced.

1) "we think he has an assault rifle" because that makes it news.

and some dimwit in florida weighs in:

2)JoAnn Lee Frank of Clearwater,
Fla., also a frequent out-of-state mailbag contributor, says that while
tighter gun regulations may not prevent ramapages by ex-cops, it
couldn't hurt to find out if they would:

"As the saying goes, 'You never know.' Indeed, who would have ever
guessed that a disgruntled and mentally disturbed ex-LAPD cop would
allegedly pull a gun on fellow officers?

"Nevertheless, police say Dorner went berserk, tragically leaving a
fatal shooting spree in his wake. Whether or not stricter gun-control
laws could have stopped this rampage, I implore our legislators to pass
them. Fewer guns equals fewer shootings. It's a matter of common sense."

And more of this sort are popping up.

They shot up 2 different wrong trucks! You would think after the first the order to "be shure of your target before you fire" would have gone out.

Bullet holes in the windshield right at the driver, and especially the ones in the back of the truck... I hope those cops get fired and put in jail, and the police department goes bankrupt from lawsuits.

I'm all for supporting the police in almost every manner, but bullet holes in the back of a truck? He obviously wasn't trying to get out or run them over.. And hope they get exactly what a civilian would get if they were randomly shooting people that posed no threat.

Doubt it, he was supporting what they wanted and he's a cop. If anything it proves that even the cops can be just as dangerous. (Not cop bashing)

I wonder how much the Obama administration is paying this guy to kill cops and say good things about gun control to help take away our Second Amendment rights? Or maybe no cops were actually killed, but are actors working for FEMA. He said he likes Hillary, and we know how she signed on to that UN treaty in the works to disarm Americans. Plus he said that he likes Bill Clinton, Piers Morgan, Anderson Cooper, and Chris Christy. Why would he single out those people? There are just too many unexplained connections here. Also, ask yourself how an unemployed man who was fired from his police job had all the money to buy expensive guns and ammo. Things just aren't adding up. Hopefully people will wake up and see what's going on here. Edited by East_TN_Patriot

I have a lot of respect for the police, I have several family members in service. BUT, sheeple think that only cops should have guns, if that's the case, give us bullet proof vest.

That was the point I was making. They are working double time to hide the fact that one of their own has gone psycho.

I may just be ignorant here, so LEOs feel free to correct me, but doesn't certain criteria have to be met in order to release a round in someone's direction? Seriously, one of the vehicles engaged had all the bulletholes in the rear, suggesting that the vehicle wasn't being used as a weapon, and the passenger was most likely not armed being that it wasn't the right person. I mean, they fired without even positively identifying the person. Is this amateur hour or what? Looks like a few more of LAPDs finest need to get a pink slip as well.

they are shooting to kill without positive ID, chance of surrender or arrest or anything remotely police-like.    This case gets a little more stupid by the second.

I get a vibe he may do that thing like the whacko that shot the fire fighters..  such as report himself being at some place, then set up a nice ambush.

Either way, LAPD needs to be bankrupted by the two shooting victims. I can't believe this is even possible for them to open fire on two separate vehicles on the same day with the occupants of both not being wanted for a crime or being armed at all. These are a bunch of trigger happy kids without adult supervision.

Maybe it is just my tinfoil getting a little too tight again, but these two incidents lend themselves to the idea that the LAPD has no intention of even attempting a live capture. They seem to be operating on a 'kill on sight' basis. Dorner is obviously violently psychotic, and a danger to the public, though it is focused on those who wear a badge. Maybe he actually possesses damaging information they are trying to ensure doesn't get out? This is the LAPD after all, probably the only LE organization that rivals NYC in corruption. I don't underestimate the hatred cops have for cop killers, having grown up in a LEO household. When one of their own gets killed things get a little more serious, so I'm willing to believe their actions were less related to an implied or specified task from their commanders, and more to do with wanting to kill a cop killer. I'm totally cool with that, but opening fire without a PID is reckless and criminal.

I am NOT OK with it.  A victim is a victim, and whether its a $2 crack ho that was knifed or a medal of honor winner turned LEO, the effort to capture (not kill, capture) the criminal should be the same.  Anything else is part of a broken system.
