Got an order in at SPG back in December for 62 gr. 223 at 37 cents per for a 1000 rounds. Pretty good deal even then and they sold out the next day or so,  hasn't been available since AFAIK.  It got back ordered within the first week and now I keep getting emails from them saying 'click here' to keep the order from being canceled.

I'm not mad or anything, just concerned that they are going to cancel it, either because it's unavailable or, more likely, they can fill smaller/more current orders at a higher price with my bullets. Not sure how ethical that would be on their part, but it could happen.

Anyone getting any ammo through them? I've only bought from them a few times, never had an issue of any sort.

I've had one of the "confirm backorder" notices in the past, before the current panic, and oddly enough the order showed up less than a week later. I think the notice may have something to do with credit card law changes in the last year or two, that customer authorization can only extend for x period of time or somesuch.

All in all though, IMO, you can't do better than SG as far as the way they handle things, customer service, etc. Have bought a lot of stuff from them over the last 5 years or so. Just got an air rifle and pellets through them yesterday as matter of fact.

Even the couple of returns I've done with them have been quite painless. AND, you can actually get them on the phone if necessary, and THAT'S an exception rather than the rule anymore.

Ordered some .357mag January 16 without any issues. Didn't run into the stock issue with that order. First time using them too.

I just checked it, January 2nd was when I placed the order, not in December. It's still active at the same price so maybe it will get filled.

My luck it will take a year and ammo will be at an all time low...

I placed multiple orders for .223/5.56 with them at around 10:15pm on Nov. 6th (if that tells you anything), and I have now received every one of them, two just last week (FedEx - left on doorstep - no signature required).  They will fulfill backorders by date, not newer orders.  They are very reputable and their customer service is excellent.

I like that... I haven't gotten upset with 'em, I understand they are behind like everybody else. Sure is good to hear folks saying good things about them as I have only used them a few times and that being some years ago.

I ordered 200 rds. of Federal .308 back before Christmas and last week I received e-mail informing me that they could not fulfill the order and my order was being cancelled.
